How to get to Leros:
By plane: Leros is connected to Athens by air line from Eleftherios Venizelos airport. There are frequent flights throughout the year. Leros Airport is located in the northern part of the island. A taxi or bus will take you to your destination.
By ferry: The ferry to Leros departs from the port of Piraeus. There are frequent, daily routes. The distance is 171 nautical miles and the journey takes about 11 hours. There are also ferry boats for Kalymnos, Kos, Rhodes and the cities of Kavala and Thessaloniki. You can take your car and enjoy the comfort of driving on the island. The island has a good road network and most of the roads are paved. You can also rent a car or motorbike. There are many excursions from Leros to the neighboring islands and daily cruises to Kos, Kalymnos, Lipsous and Patmos with flying dolphins. Leros has an organized market with shops that can satisfy all your requirements.
